The programme
With Simplon Maghreb and JobInTech, I designed and taught an AI-assisted Laravel backend bootcamp in Agadir. The IMIKNDEV cohort ran from March to August 2026.
My coaching work
- Prepare the programme progression, resources, exercises and project briefs.
- Support learners’ understanding of PHP, object-oriented programming and backend development with Laravel.
- Organise work in sprints and follow learners’ projects.
- Introduce coding agents within a process of specification, implementation and review.
- Prepare the final project framework and support final presentations.
The role of AI
Agent assistance does not replace learning. It makes the ability to describe a need, review code and explain decisions even more important.
Code that a learner cannot explain is not enough to demonstrate a skill. This principle connects my learning resources and assessment work.
Final-project milestones
The final project began on 13 July 2026, with submission scheduled for 7 August. Presentations took place from 10 to 13 August, with a catch-up session scheduled for 19 August.
The projects belong to the learners. My role was coaching: establish the framework, support their work and assess understanding.
