Context
Training involves more than a timetable. Teams need to track cohorts, attendance, progress, administrative tasks and the steps towards employment. Simplon Maghreb’s internal application brings these needs together.
My role
I contribute to development and maintenance, with particular work on employment follow-up: learners’ paths after training, follow-up actions, views for project coordinators and indicators.
My contributions also include cohort and trainer views, Google Calendar integration, tests, fixes and the deployment pipeline. The project uses Next.js, React, TypeScript and Prisma.
From an operational need to a feature
The starting point is the teams’ actual work: what they need to enter, find and update. I translate those needs into expected behaviour and specifications, then implement and review the changes.
This work combines development with my knowledge of learning and administrative follow-up. It helps me raise the operational questions while a feature is being designed.
What is in place
The application is used by the team to manage and follow cohorts. It remains a shared project, with new features and ongoing maintenance.
